The Village Youth Foundation

The Village Youth Foundation is a community-powered response to the youth mental health crisis in Baw Baw and the Latrobe Valley. Our aim is to remove barriers to mental health care by offering accessible, affordable, local, and compassionate care for young people aged 12–18 and their families.

Our Response: THE VILLAGE YOUTH PROJECT

A bold, community-powered response for Baw Baw and Latrobe Valley. Timely, affordable counselling for young people. Safe, compassionate care delivered locally by experienced and relatable professionals. Wrap around care for families and a central point of contact. Connection, support and belonging for young people, giving them space to heal and thrive, together.​​

  • 12 Sessions of 1:1 counselling

  • 4 hours of Family Support

We have a number of sponsorship packages coming soon, including weekly, monthly and one off options. For now, just one off payments are available. If you would like to donate weekly or monthly, please email elizabeth@thevillagehealth.com.au so we can set it up for you.

Helps cover resources for counselling sessions, things like therapy tools, activities and wellbeing materials that make each session more engaging and effective for a young person.

Sponsors the community portion of a counselling session for a young person. Lifting the weight of financial stress and ensuring families aren’t left to carry the burden alone.

Sponsors the entire community portion of 3 counselling sessions. Giving a young person a safe space to connect with real, timely mental health care.

Sponsors the community portion of one full day of counselling. That's six 1:1 appointments plus time for notes, and vital communication with families and schools. A huge impact!

Covers the community-funded portion of 12 counselling sessions for one young person. This sponsorship means they receive  support, enough time to build trust, grow resilience, and see real change.

Community Investment: IT TAKES A VILLAGE

The Village Youth Foundation is built on the belief that when a community invests in its young people, it invests in its future. We are seeking partners who share our commitment to ensuring no young person or family in Baw Baw and the Latrobe Valley is left without timely, affordable mental health care. Every dollar contributed goes directly toward delivering counselling, family support, and peer connection programs, creating real, measurable change in the lives of local youth.We have options for investment at different tiers allowing every level of our community to be involved in supporting The Village Youth Foundation. Your generosity covers the community component of the project costs.
