Jane Sahhar

Educational Therapist

Jane believes that when a young person is struggling, the most important question isn't simply “How do we get them performing better?” but “What's happening for this young person, and what do they need to thrive?”

With a Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Education, Jane brings together her experience across education and allied health to support primary and secondary students with learning, development, mental health and wellbeing.

She has a particular gift for helping young people recognise their strengths, build confidence and develop practical strategies that make school, and life feel more manageable.

Jane understands that learning difficulties rarely exist neatly inside the classroom. Attention, anxiety, friendships, emotional regulation, confidence, family life and the way a young person experiences the world can all influence their ability to learn and engage.

That's why she looks at the whole young person, not just the problem they're experiencing.

Her work is collaborative and practical. Jane works alongside young people and their families, and where appropriate their schools and other professionals, to better understand what's getting in the way and create a clearer pathway forward.

At the heart of Jane's approach is connection. She believes some of the best outcomes happen when the important people around a young person understand one another and work together.

Alongside her formal qualifications, Jane is committed to ongoing professional development. Her additional areas of study include Youth Mental Health First Aid, NLP, coaching, the Science of Language, mindfulness, mindset, meditation and yoga.

This breadth of knowledge supports Jane's whole-person approach, helping young people develop not only academically, but socially, emotionally and personally.

Jane knows that very young person deserves to understand their strengths, believe in themselves and discover a way of learning that works for them.
