About the event

Parents of teens and tweens, we hear you! The adolescent years can be a tough time for both parents and their children.

At The Village Health, we understand the struggles that come with this phase, and we're here to offer our support. We are proud to announce our upcoming workshop on self-harm, a widespread issue among adolescents.

Did you know that self-harm is one of the most common reasons for adolescent  hospitalisation? In fact, studies have shown that approximately 14-24% of adolescents engage in self-harm behaviours from as young as 10 years of age. These numbers are alarming and speak to the need for us to come together as a community with support, strategies and interventions to help our young people.

Our workshop will be facilitated by Elizabeth Banks, who has extensive experience working with young people and self-harm assisting them to recover.
